Born and raised in New Mexico, I have been blessed with the opportunity and freedom to explore an incredible land... a land filled with mystery, ancestral ghosts, and abundant light, texture and color. It is here in this "land of clear light" that I derive inspiration for my work. All the images seen on this site were captured in New Mexico.
As a passionate “seeker of images”, texture and color, vibration and light are integral elements I look for when composing most of my work. Many times an image is visualized before the camera is raised...as if the subject was calling out...waiting to present itself. Other times, the opportunity appears and disappears in the blink of an eye. In either event, each image has its own unique identity and “voice” that speaks to each of us....
It is this “voice” and uniqueness that I enthusiastically pursue... and humbly encourage to flow thru the lense of my camera. One can only hope that the final print honors the essence of the image...and allows it’s voice to be heard.
As I pursue this passionate journey, one thing has become clear: To capture the essence of a subject in it's fleeting moment of discovery is a profound experience. To share the experience with others through imagery is a privilege, blessing, and gift I will always be thankful for.
